What if DEI disappeared from your campus tomorrow?  It’s already happening—and we can’t stay silent. DEI helped me earn four degrees, including my PhD.  It opened doors to opportunity, mentorship, and rooms that weren’t built for someone like me—but where I belonged.  It also saved my life. When I spiked pre-eclampsia, I was treated by brilliant Black and Brown doctors—physicians who may have been overlooked if DEI didn’t exist. And I got to recover at home with my baby without fear of income loss because of inclusive workplace policies driven by DEI.  This fight is personal. Education is a right. Equity is a must.
